As the United States and her military reinforce their ironclad defense arrangements with South Korea, North Korea is busy shooting off threats and warnings while keeping a close eye on whats happening with their southern neighbor.  The DPRK (N Korea) is so upset over this joint military drill the KCNA (N Korea state news agency) said in a statement, “If they infringe on the DPRK’s sovereignty and dignity even a bit, its army will launch merciless ultra-precision strikes from ground, air, sea and underwater”.

Every year around this time the U.S. and a few of its allies, including Japan and of course South Korea,  join forces to train and better fuse their operations together.  Nearby in the South China Sea sails the USS Carl Vinson and her fleet of warships behind her, training and involved in the Foal Eagle exercises.  The USS Carl Vinson is part of an carrier strike group and can carry dozens of aircraft with it to sea.

The U.S. and her allies deny preparing for an invasion with North Korea, but the DPRK says this is exactly what these exercises are for.  North Korean news reports have been saying that enemy (American) aircraft have been flying close to their borders practicing bombing and attack runs on the DPRK.

The joint training operation Foal Eagle shows proof that the United States stands firm with its allies and will counter any threats posed to them in the Asia pacific region.  North Korea still refuses to do anything productive and just want to build missiles that it can attack the United States with.  Maybe and hopefully a dialogue with the North has been set up or both sides are trying to talk to one another.  When two side are acting against their interests and are not speaking to each other, you have a recipe for another war.
