The USS Carl Vinson has been attacked and is sinking off the coast of North Korea. Well, that is what North Korea would like everyone to believe. But with their grainy and ridiculous looking propaganda video just posted to YouTube, do they really think anyone believes this? If anyone needs an explanation, no U.S. forces in that area have been attacked by the DPRK (North Korea).
The United States military every year strengthens their relationship with its allies with many different military exercises and drills. This year, at exercise Foal Eagle, North Korea who is always upset about the exercise because they say they are a prelude to a joint U.S. and South Korean invasion. With videos coming out like this, what are two allies left to do other than train up their forces so that they are as ready as possible and all plans have been laid out. Maybe a preemptive strike?
Rex Tillerson, the new U.S. Secretary of State has recently said about the DPRK, “Let me be very clear: The policy of strategic patience has ended,” while he also reiterated, “We are exploring a new range of diplomatic, security and economic measures. All options are on the table.” Yes, the United State Secretary of State has said all options for North Korea are being looked at to determine whats best to contain the nuclear raging north.
